Wonderlands

Dedicated to Ian Mitchell and Gemini.

Wonderlands was inspired by the Haruki Marukami novel Hard Boiled Wonderlands and the End of the World. It is in one continuous movement, but alternates sections of textural and melodic materials in a similar manner to the alternation of narratives in the book. Marukami's work poses questions about the nature of reality and I have tried to reflect this in my music.
